"I bought the AC Boost after auditioning a pile of overdrive and distortion stompboxes at my guitar shop in Manhattan, 30th Street Guitars. It was a winner because of it's uncolored, natural overdrive and because of the perfect way it pushed a vintage Marshall amp so musically, with tone controls that were voiced really well for that kind of amp, that is, an amp with typical Marshall tone but not enough natural overdrive for solos at a less than deafening setting. The range of all the controls is wide, and a little goes a long way; I like the flexibility that gives me.
I recently began to use the RC Booster and the BB Preamp, too. They're both useful to me in different ways, and the sounds are clear and natural.
I'm using the RC as the last effect in a chain of effects in my Guytron amp's effects loop, to boost whatever tone (clean or amp overdrive) I'm using for solos, and it works perfectly. I like that it has the very powerful tone controls if I need them, but so far all I've needed is a small gain and volume boost because the tone stays so much the same through that pedal, it's great.
The BB is great, too. I find it more useful for situations where I'm not able to carry my own amp, and I need to get my tone from pedals rather than the amp, and in New York that happens a lot. It has a very natural overdrive sound, and the tone controls make it very flexible adjusting for different amps. I'm looking forward to using it more with different amps to see what else it can do for me."
